The Davison Project

Welcome to a little project I am running to try to capture some of the great photography that was done by my father, Bob Davison and his father Ken Davison.

When I started scanning these images I was overwhelmed by the idea that I was seeing the world here as if through my dad's (and grad-dad's) eyes, and as waves of melancolia were replaced by fascination I began to try to figure out how I was going to get information about the photos I didn't recognise.

That's where you come in...

The aim is to try to sit some of the photographs they've taken into context. At the moment I have a couple of boxes of images which I will be working through over time, but there is a lot of material there that I can't place, and a lot of faces I just don't recognise.

So as a bit of a tribute to them both I'm asking anyone who has an interest to flick through these images and provide any information they can. A place, a date, a name - anything that might provide some insight.

Get started now...

You can browse any of my public galleries, but this is the one dedicated to this project.
